Disaster Epi Course Registration

The Florida Department of Health (DOH) in Okaloosa is excited to invite you to attend the Disaster Epidemiology course presented by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on August 18th and 19th at the Okaloosa Emergency Operations Center. This 1.5-day course will teach attendees the basics of disaster epidemiology, discuss disaster morbidity and mortality surveillance, and explain the CASPER methodology for conducting rapid public health needs assessments after a disaster.  

 

Target audience: DOH epidemiology strike team members, DOH epidemiologists, other DOH staff that have epidemiology response roles, and Okaloosa county community partners involved in disease surveillance and response.

 

Registration: All attendees must register in TRAIN at: FDOH CDC Disaster Epidemiology

If you are a non-DOH employee, you will need to create a TRAIN account, which is free. Be sure to select “Florida general” when asked which group you are affiliated with. If you have any difficulty registering, please contact [email protected].

Registration is on a first come, first serve basis and there is no registration fee for this course.
